Objective
Trap your opponent by forming mills, capturing their men, and leaving them with too few pieces or no legal move.
How to Play
- Two players, White and Black, each have 9 men. White starts.
- During the placing phase, take turns putting one man on any empty point of the board.
- Three of your men in a straight connected row form a mill. Each new mill lets you remove one opposing man.
- You may not remove a man that is inside a mill unless every opposing man is in a mill.
- After all men are placed, move one of your men along a line to an adjacent empty point.
- When a player is down to exactly three men, that player may fly to any empty point instead of moving only adjacent.
How to Win
You win if, after the placing phase, your opponent has fewer than three men or has no legal move available.
Tips
- Try to create two mill threats at once so one must open.
- Block your opponent's nearly finished rows before chasing captures.
- Keep pieces mobile; a crowded board can trap your own men.
