Objective
Build an unbroken chain of your stones connecting your two matching board edges before your opponent connects theirs.
How to Play
- Red tries to connect the top and bottom edges. Blue tries to connect the left and right edges.
- The board is an 11 by 11 field of hex spaces. Players take turns placing one stone on any empty space.
- Stones never move, flip, or get captured, so every placement matters for the rest of the game.
- After Red's first move, Blue may use the swap rule: take that first stone as Blue instead of placing a new stone. If Blue declines, Blue places normally.
- Connected stones can touch along any of the six sides of a hex.
How to Win
Red wins by making a connected top-to-bottom path. Blue wins by making a connected left-to-right path.
Tips
- Build flexible bridges instead of one thin line.
- Block your opponent where two routes almost meet.
- The center is powerful, but edge connections finish games.
