📖 How to Play Dominoes

Objective

Play your dominoes onto the table and finish with fewer pips than everyone else if the game gets blocked.

How to Play

  • This is double-six block dominoes for 2-4 players. With two players, each hand starts with 7 tiles; with three or four players, each hand starts with 5.
  • Player 1 opens by playing any tile. After that, you must match one number on your tile to one open end of the line.
  • Click a playable tile to place it. If it fits both ends, choose left or right.
  • If you have no playable tile and the boneyard still has tiles, use Draw Until Playable. You keep drawing until you can play or the boneyard is empty.
  • If you cannot play and the boneyard is empty, pass your turn.

How to Win

You win by playing your last domino. If nobody can move, the player with the lowest pip total left in hand wins; equal low scores tie.

Tips

  • Keep a mix of numbers so you have options later.
  • Watch the open ends and try to leave numbers your hand can use.
  • Low pips are safer if the board blocks.
